A haven of peace

Founded in 1922, the Golf Club de Genève has a rich legacy. After World War II, members’ foresight led to land acquisition, culminating in the eventual purchase of the Bessinge Estate and for a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1973.

Over forty year later Turfgrass® were entrusted by the Club to work with Robert Trent Jones II to Project Manage a €11 million restoration project, not only to elevate the golf course to international standards but also to safeguard its heritage. As Project Manager, Turfgrass® harmoniously integrated pioneering technology with the cherished traditions of the golf club. The restoration, including cutting-edge irrigation, drainage and SubAir systems, aimed at staying at the forefront of the industry while  preserving the haven of peace that this historic club represents.

Turfgrass® have since been retained as agronomic consultants and are honoured to have overseen more than 8 Rolex Trophy’s.
