A Tuscan masterpiece

Nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Val d’Orcia in Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino winemaking region, Castiglion del Bosco is an 800-year-old estate gracing a magnificent landscape. In 2012, Tom Weiskopf and Phil Smith harnessed the beauty of this rolling Tuscan terrain, adorned with mature cypress trees, unspoiled views of regional vineyards and natural water hazards, to craft a luxurious 18-hole golf course—Italy’s only privately owned one. Turfgrass® has played a pivotal role, contributing to the strategic planning of the golf course which culminated in a new drainage and irrigation system as well as an upgrading of the bunkers and grassing surfaces. Turfgrass® continue to provide top-tier agronomic services elevating the course conditioning to the highest standards.
