Senior Agronomy Consultant
Trevor studied Horticulture & Golf Course Management at Writtle College, Essex, England.
During the earlier years of his career, Trevor gained experience at Lahinch Golf Club and Gleneagles Golf Resort. Since 2006 Trevor was the Resort & Golf Course Superintendent at the five-star Castlemartyr Resort in Cork, Ireland, where, as well as Superintendent duties he was intricately involved in the construction and grow-in of the course.
With over 23 years in the industry, Trevor has obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience in turfgrass management.
Trevor joined Turfgrass in 2013 as an agronomist and in 2017 was promoted to Senior Agronomist. Trevor consults on numerous courses throughout northern and southern Europe and supports the company’s directors in project delivery.
Trevor is a single digit golfer and as passionate about the sport as he is about the industry.
With over 20 years’ experience in business management, Sarah’s efficient approach to work and excellent attention to detail enables her to effectively manage and organise the busy Turfgrass office, oversee the team and supervise all business operations.
When she joined us in 2010, she quickly became an integral part of the company as she worked in close collaboration with our Directors and the team to move into the position of our Operations Manager. She has become indispensable in her role of co-ordinating and administering our numerous projects, processes, people and schedules in Turfgrass.
Whilst working full time, Sarah completed a Bachelors of Business Studies (Hons) Degree, demonstrating her focused work ethic, dedication and her ability to multi-task.
Senior Agronomy Consultant
Jonathan began his journey in the business of golf in 1999 and has since become one of the most recognised and respected individuals in the sports-turf industry.
Gaining a degree in turfgrass science and subsequently being awarded the Gleneagles Excellence in Golf Award (GEGAS), he developed his practical experience initially at The Belfry where it hosted the Ryder Cup (2002) and subsequently several European Tour events both there and at the world famous Gleneagles resort in Scotland.
Jonathan in 2005 became responsible for the agronomy, maintenance and construction management of the international management company Braemar Golf, based at the home of golf in St. Andrews, Scotland. Over eight years delivering global projects in excess of 100 million euros.
Following his tenure at Braemar Golf Jonathan launched his own agronomy consultancy business, International Turf, where he continues to provide services in both warm and cool season climates, from New Zealand, Africa and Europe. Jonathan also holds significant experience with seashore paspalum working with the notable breeder Dr. R. Duncan to develop a range of fertilisers specific to that variety.
In 2017 Jonathan became Director of Agronomy for Bernhard’s with responsibility for their newly launched Turf Technologies product range, including SubAir and a unique turfgrass lighting system developed in partnership with STRI and MLR.
Now using his global reputation, knowledge and experience, as an independent agronomist notably working with FIFA whilst also supporting the delivery of agronomy services to a number of prestigious, world-class brands including Turfgrass and iTurf.
