Turfgrass have been retained by Robert Trent Jones II to deliver the agronomic specifications and grassing development plan for a new golf resort in Hoi An, Vietnam. The golf and casino resort will be managed by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. Hoi An Ancient Town, located next to the South China Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an unusually well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century.
The project commenced with a site investigation including a review of trial pit holes and construction materials. During the reconnaissance trip we took time to visit several high-end courses in the region to get a better understanding of the native agronomic and environmental threats.
Golf course construction is underway and will continue throughout 2018.
