Vidauban Golf Club, France

Vidauban Golf Club is a highly private members club located in the heart of “Plaine des Maures” a national park of exceptional beauty close to the Côte d’Azur in the South of France. The culmination of a lifetime’s work, the 800 hectare property became the canvas on which legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. created his opus. As both owner and designer, Mr. Jones sculpted a golf course of truly special splendour amongst the parasol pines in this remote and spectacular part of Provence.

Today Vidauban Golf Club is home to a small and discreet membership who shares a passion for the game, a vision of excellence and an appreciation for the sanctuary it provides for their families and privileged guests.

The golf course at Vidauban Golf Club was the vision and creation of Robert Trent Jones Sr. It’s strategy, presentation, environment and solitude inspires all who are fortunate enough to walk its fairways. A recent renovation which was overseen by Robert Trent Jones Jr., will ensure that the standards of excellence in presentation and conservation will be of the very highest order.

Since 2003, Turfgrass have assisted us on our agronomic development and plan for a more sustainable course maintenance program.

In 2008, Turfgrass designed and developed a research station on site with the focus on water conservation and seed selection. The three years of data helped us develop a renovation case study which Turfgrass transformed into reality over the last 18 months.

Turfgrass has been a reliable and professional partner in all phases of our project, understanding our agronomy future goals, including the project management of our renovation and our recruitment process.
