Agronomy
Turfgrass Consultancy work with a large network of specialists in the field of Agronomy. We are supported by a team of renowned professors from around the world. Turfgrass Consultancy provide agronomic solutions for clients during the following phases of golf development and course conditioning:
- Construction/Renovation: Prior to and during construction we will liaise with the architect, superintendent, project manager to ensure agronomic specification are met and carried out as intended to promote the best possible base upon which to develop the turfgrass.
- Grow-in: One of the most critical parts of any new construction or renovation is the grow-in and establishment of a new stand of turfgrass. We can tailor produce individual site specific strategies to ensure a new course in opened on schedule to the highest standards.
- Routine Course Maintenance: We work closely with the course superintendent to ensure daily course conditioning standards are achieved and developed further while monitoring budgets, staffing, equipment and pesticide compliancy.
- Tournament Preparation: We have prepared many courses for tournaments ranging in size from Captains Prize to The Solheim Cup, the worlds largest women’s golf tournament. Tournament preparation begins with a frank evaluation of current conditions and infrastructure and develops up to tournament advance week where final tweaks are made to the courses conditioning.
